Artist Bio

Sara Rose Gravante is an artist, graphic designer, and instructor who is inspired by realism and abstraction found in the natural world we all call home. Her images explore elements of the landscape across media from watercolor, pencil and ink, to acrylics and relief printmaking. Following studies which culminated in a MFA, Sara worked as a computer graphic artist and presently works as a facilitator and gallery manager for Follow Your Art Community Studios where she is an active member of the Artists In Residence. In her roles there as both an Artist and teacher for children and adults, she has found endless inspiration.

Artist Statement

My art celebrates my passion for depicting reality to the abstract in response to the landscape. The landscape of the image – forms, marks and colors – all become doors to open with further visual explanation. Each painting is a part of endless ways of seeing the world. My personal narrative to share and for all to chose next moment in the story.
