Abstract Mixed Media
Deb Corbett strives to create an interesting surface of abstract imagery for the viewer to interpret on their own. She is a graduate of Seton Hall University in Fine Art as well as many continuing education courses including the DeCordova Museum and the Hudson River Valley Workshops. Her experience includes jewelry design, decorative painting, and teaching various workshops in mixed media collage. Deb’s work is internationally collected, as well as represented in the Southwest and various New England galleries. She is very involved with the art scene in Melrose and sits on the board of the local non-profit, Melrose Arts.
For me, spending time in my active home studio and having the time and freedom to create something unique is a most gratifying experience. People often are curious about my materials and how I create such texture. I use plaster, modeling paste acrylics, graphite, and metallic glazes. I feel blessed to be able to create original, one-of-a-kind art!
