Artist Bio
Whether enameling jewelry or painting with encaustics, oil or acrylics, nothing is more gratifying to business owner, community volunteer, and artist Lorrie DiCesare than CREATING. Lorrie has made her home in Melrose since 1993, and opened Hourglass Gift Gallery in 1999. In addition to selling her own art and jewelry, Lorrie wanted to give the Melrose community and the New England area a place where they can buy unique pieces of art and crafts, hand-made by local and nationally-recognized artisans. Hourglass genuinely is a labor of love for Lorrie. Her education is in business, retail management, and many art educational courses.
