My paintings are multi-layered textural explorations focusing what is on the surface and below. Random elements and unexpected discoveries feature prominently in my imagery. Whether the subject is figurative or abstract, I am intrigued by the organic and intuitive evolution of the image. Shelley is a member of the Media Mavens having joined the painting group in 2017. She studied painting and drawing at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA. She resides in Melrose and is also the Reference and Local History Library at the Melrose Public Library.
